Your session will generally be split up into two parts. Part of it will be for the shots I need, the other part will be a more standard headshot setup for you.
For the standard headshots most will be done indoors with a light, neutral background. Sometimes they will be done outdoors and sometimes a combination of the two. Plan for about an hours worth of time. Most of the session will be geared towards your headshots.
What you'll get from me:
- A photo session that will be at least partially devoted to getting you some nice headshots. Part of the session will be for my own needs but you can select from those photos as well. Session may be indoors or outdoors or both, most likely indoors.
- At least one high resolution, fully edited, print ready digital image of your choice along. Possibly more of my choice.
- Lower resolution proofs to select your headshot. I like to shoot a lot so there will be plenty to choose from.
- Signed document detailing your rights to the images for the use of self-promotion and publicity so you don't have any delays or other issues getting copies made.
- You're 18 or over. Male or female.
- You have some sort of acting credentials big or small, even just taking acting classes.
- You have some sort of website or page detailing your acting experience with photos. IMDB page, personal website, etc.
- You will arrive promptly and be ready with hair, makeup and clothes on the day and time indicated. Most of these will take place in NJ, just across the George Washington Bridge which is easily accessible from Manhattan using public transportation if you're coming from NYC.
- Sign release/contract before we start shooting and identification.
I've never been an autograph collector but whenever someone selects one of my photos to print out their headshots and sends me a copy with a little thank you note and autograph on it, it genuinely makes me happy. If you choose one of my photos to print your headshots and do this I would really appreciate it.
